Science Day in St Lukes

28th Nov 2025

Science Fair Day in St Lukes was a wonderful mix of curiosity, fun, and discovery. From the moment the doors opened, there was a real buzz in the air. The children arrived carrying homemade experiments, posters, and models—everything from volcanoes made with baking soda to carefully-built circuits that lit up with a flick of a switch.

Classrooms were transformed into mini-labs and it was lovely to see everyone working together and sharing ideas.

After lunch, the school became a science fair. Parents and teachers wandered around admiring projects on space, plants, magnets, and energy. There were lots of “wow!” moments—especially when someone’s project suddenly fizzed, popped, or glowed. We would like to say a massive Thank You to the judges, children and of course the parents. It was a great day!

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Elizabeth O'Meara and the team of judges from MTU for coming to school and judging the competition. Their support was incredible and the day was enhanced greatly by their presence, questions and knowledge!
